• Sherlock attended a boarding school from a very young age. His father was absent and left him in the care of various friends and sitters.
• Sherlock's use of Heroin and Opium (and other opiates) is what lead to his downward spiral.
• Sherlock started using drugs for recreation when bored or in need of stimulation for a case. He was on and off with Cocaine for years and dabbled with things here and there but never became too out of control until Heroine involved itself after Irene's death.
• Sherlock speaks a variety of languages including Mandarin.
• Sherlock knows how to spot Malboge but cannot translate it.
• Sherlock was very much in love with Irene Adler having had an established relationship with her for seven months prior to her expiry and is horrified of ever getting close to someone ever again in this manner.
• Sherlock OFT TXTS IN AN XTREMELY ANNOYING WAY LOLZ.
• Sherlock has a phrenology bust he calls Angus.
• Sherlock still has a large network of persons willing to aid him that live in London.
• Sherlock has fairly intensive medical knowledge himself; he knew how to repair a fracture at age 8.
• Sherlock has an odd and unexplained obsession with bees.
• Sherlock also has an obsession with crosswords.
• Sherlock has a massive collection of security camera magazines and subscriptions to.
• Sherlock is an incredibly good lock picker.
• Sherlock plays not only the violin but also the piano.
• Sherlock is well cultured; he shows interest in Opera (although denies it), classical music, and art. He almost get's teary eyed over Van Gohg.

Canon Extrapolation

• Sherlock can create and write in various cyphers; his typical ones are ROT13 Caesar & Tiny Encryption Algorithm (TEA).
• Sherlock's languages include: French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Latin, Mandarin, and Japanese with knowledge in various other languages and ability to identify an even larger number.
• Sherlock is an uncannily good gambler and knows a handful of card games.
• Sherlock knows and plays numerous variations of chess.

History Headcanon

• Sherlock did not willingly go to rehab.
• Attended Cambridge University majoring in Law and minoring in Psychology.
• Continued on to Forensic Psychology, Post-Grad.
• Attained another Post-Grad in Crime Scene Investigation.
• Did live at 221B Baker Street once finished school, Hudson a friend of his Father's who 'looked after Holmes'.
